This is it. This is what started my love for baking. I used to be in the kitchen with my great grandmother on Saturday mornings where she would make her famous pound cakes that the entire family would love. Sometimes she'd make her famous caramel cake as well. This is what we did on Saturdays.
Now, I find it an honor to make my cakes after her as she (and God) is the reason that I am a baker today.
